Mark Frazier Lloyd Lecture

In March of 2014, the historian Mark Frazier Lloyd delivered a fascinating and information-packed lecture and slide show called “Enterprise Unleashed: Tulpehocken Street 1808-1852,” and it happens that the lecture was recorded by Jeff Smith. The original file is not to be found, but the video may be viewed on YouTube, and it is definitely worth watching!

Until his recent retirement, Mark – who grew up on Greene Street near Tulpehocken — was the Director of Archives at UPenn, serving as the de facto University historian and teaching history courses. The lecture, delivered at Aulenbach House, was sponsored by the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion and the Preservation Alliance.

If you have 40 minutes to spare, you are encouraged to check out this video. There is also now a link to it on this website, on the “History of the Neighborhood” page.
