In fulfilling our mission, WCGN is actively involved in the following:

a. Holds three lively potluck dinners per year, the first Sunday in October, the last Sunday in January, and Memorial Day.

b. Business meetings are held 4 times a year.

b. Monitors activity related to city zoning , disseminates information about this to neighbors, and, when needed, holds meetings of near neighbors to decide about possible actions to take.

c. Communicates the views of the residents to local elected officials, police, and zoning board.

d. Develops and maintains a garden and orchard on the grounds of the Tulpehocken Train Station (SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill West Line).

e. Builds liaisons with other neighborhood groups, namely Germantown United CDC, Duval Street Neighbors (no web site available), Penn-Knox Neighborhood Association, and Mt. Airy Community Services Corporation.

If you want to start another activity, let’s see who else is interested and perhaps the list will grow.
